Fizik Zea:k 7mm Tail Flex/Thigh Grabs Black MTB Saddle provides unique shape and features that are specifically designed for MTB bikes with suspension travel from 140 to 180mm. The All-Mountain use gives multi-seating positions and a rear soft zone. Zea:k positioning system naturally mirrors changing terrain and pitch, placing the rider in the best position. The nose is well padded with a "squared section" for extra lateral grip, more comfort and increase traction during steep climbs, while the rear seating zone is flatter and wider, making it the ideal surface to distribute your weight uniformly. The rear zone, softly rounded, is designed to reduce pain in case of impact. The mainframe protects your Zea:k for 270 degrees, and will facilitate your "job" when carrying your bike on. The Tail Flex design gives the saddle a flexible and shock absorbing rear portion for smoother transition on and off the saddle. The Thigh Grab feature grips the inner thigh for extra stability. The K:ium rails are eight percent lighter than titanium, and have a greater strength-to-weight ratio, and greater vibration absorbency. My WTB that it replaced, was a little "squishy" when wearing shorts with a chamois. I wanted something with less padding. This definitely has less padding and feels great with shorts and chamois combo. What really has surprised me is the comfort in everyday shorts or pants. Many reviews said it was too hard. At first I experience some discomfort as well, but a little further forward just behind the jewels and kind of in closer to my center line. After adjusting the nose a little down, it is my perfect riding saddle. And condition, any attire, I love it. It did take a few tries to get the proper tilt, but know that I have, it is comfortable and getting more comfortable with every ride.I have also found out that I like it further back than my other saddles. I found this after I found a Thompson Elite lay back seat post for $20 bucks (yep...I'm bragging about...
