My ex-boss sent me an article about noseless seats (NY Times 6/28/11), and this looked the most interesting. Got it two weeks ago, test rode it 55 miles, adjusted the seat down as recommended, test rode on a spearate ride 35 miles, then used it in a Century last weekend. I was not restless in the seat until 80 miles, and still then it was not numbness. It's staying on the Road Bike. It works. Initially the width causes the legs to be a little wider, which had some pull on the inner knee, but you get used to that after a few rides, and you notice right away the seat is not holding you in the middle, but on the places where you should be sitting. On a Quest for 6 Centuries this season before my 60th B-day, started Road Riding last September. 4 down 2 to go, and this seat was on 4th and will be on 5th, 6th and beyond :-)

I'm 64 and out of shape. I want to ride more to help with the latter problem. To that end I've been riding a single speed Bianchi with a Specialized Body Geometry Gel saddle. It's a pretty good saddle. The ISM Century saddle is enough better to justify the swap. Even though the setup is supposed to require a lot of tweaking to find the sweet spot, it only took one small adjustment to get it right. I don't expect to find anything better.

After trying a half dozen saddles, I finally have one I can be on for more than an hour without suffering from numbness or discomfort. The Adamo century fits me perfectly. The saddle has great cushioning and support for long days in the saddle. The most important thing to pay attention to is proper installation. Adamo has an installation video on their website that details proper installation. It is very helpful. Once I found my sweet spot on the saddle, it fit perfectly.
