They are people who do have problem with their private parts when cycling For the second category, SMP is the way to go. I use a Glider for several years. Le finish is superb (it's a high end saddle) and the confort is perfect...once you get used to the very particular shape. First, you must get the correct Selle SMP.There are various widths and padding based on your sitbones, riding style, weight and the length of your rides. Once you find the right one, if you have the money, buy it. If you don't have the money, eat Romin Noodles until you can afford it. My first road ride with this saddle was 10 miles longer than the previous ride on the old one. The pressure is evenly spread on the surface you want pressure and is absent on the more sensitive regions. The beak style was much more comfortable than even I expected to the genitals. I will be looking for the appropriate model to fit my MTB once I save up for it. I strongly pedaling long distances and do not feel any pressure in my pelvis or my genitals. This seat does what its name promises: I feel I'm riding in a glider, literally sitting on the air.
