Fizik Antares K:ium Road Saddle is a blend of the features of the Arione and Aliante. Flat like the Arione and wide in the back like the Aliante for more support. The carbon reinforced Nylon shell flexes with the rider and provides shock absorption. The K:ium rails are eight percent lighter than titanium and have a greater strength to weight ratio. They get their shiny appearance from the addition of chrome which also helps with oxidation inhibition. Another important feature of the Antares is the nose width. At 42mm across the center of the label, it's much wider than most race saddles. This provides added comfort when climbing or in the drops. Features integrated clip system (ICS) compatible with Fizik Blin:k light and saddle bag. A saddle that works great for one individual may be terrible for another, even with similar body types and saddle acclimation.The Fizik Antares saddle replaced a worn out Profile Designs triathlon-specific saddle. I mounted it on a bike with time-trial/road geometry and haven't looked back. The bike is marginally lighter, looks better, and most importantly, distributes contact in the right places. Compared to the outgoing saddle, the padding is minimal, but provides much better contact. As for myself, I ride a moderate amount, have average flexibility, and am of low-to-moderate body weight.
