I weigh 260lbs. (very built though with a big butt) and this is very cushioning. The slit in the middle is very helpful to relieving pressure on the "softer tissue" area of your underside. I am talking from a lot of experience with having an open sore be caused due to rubbing and heat. sure it is expensive but for the cost it is definitely worth the money. Ad the biggest plus i believe is the fact that it still keeps the smaller design and profile of a Road Bike seat without the cumbersome size usually associated with the more cushioning seats.
