This allows you to exert more power while in the saddle and ride longer more comfortably. The Selle SMP Strike Extra features a sligtly larger platform and more padding for increased comfort. A saddle, you must agree, is a very personal choice and involves comfort, durability and appearance. I now have approx 300 miles with the Selle SMP Extra and each mile that I ride the comfort level rises. It seems easier to find that magic spot for the sits bones. More importantly, I no longer experience pain and discomfort in the perineum channel, in the drops or on the hoods.
