It was one of the only saddles I've owned that I could ride all day without experiencing any discomfort. I initially replaced my old SLK with the very lightweight SLR, but it's not a split saddle design, and was very uncomfortable for me.I bought this one and it's been night and day. This saddle is as comfortable, if not more so, than my old SLK. I actually had to replace the old one because after so many miles of riding, the leather had started to wear off the sides of the saddle, which in turn started shredding my shorts. This saddle is not the lightest saddle, about 100g heavier than the SLR. For the money, I would have liked to get a bit lighter weight. Also, I'm not sure I like the stitching on the outside of the saddle. It appears the "gel" pocket is stitched in place with stitches around the perimeter of the saddle. Saddles are immensely personal, no matter what anybody tries to say. I recommend these to anybody looking for light but not featherweight, and comfy but not Lay-Z-Boy soft. |
